Hauenschild palace

The Hauenschild Palace on the Lower Square, the Dolní náměstí, is a late Renaissance burgher house and a protected cultural monument of the Czech Republic. Its most striking feature is the two storey corner oriel that projects boldly over the street. It is decorated with finely worked figural reliefs which almost inevitably draw the eye of passers by upwards. Crossing the square, visitors recognise the house from afar by this elegant bay that sets it apart from its neighbours.
