Belgrave Walk

Belgrave Walk tram stop stands on the Tramlink line near Mitcham in the London Borough of Merton. The stop takes its name from Belgrave Walk, a residential street just to the north. An island platform serves trams, reached by two pedestrian crossings at either end. The western crossing only links to the north side of the tracks, while the eastern crossing connects neighbourhoods on both sides. Phipps Bridge tram stop can be seen clearly to the west. The tram stop runs frequent services every hour. Six trams per hour travel between Beckenham Junction and Wimbledon in each direction. Another six trams per hour run between Elmers End and Wimbledon. Low-floor trams of the Bombardier CR4000 and Stadler Variobahn models operate these routes. London Buses route 201 stops here as well. Passengers may change between trams and buses free of charge within an hour under Transport for London’s Hopper Fare. A future extension to Colliers Wood Underground is planned but currently paused. The Sutton Link would improve connections to the Northern Line and shorten journeys from Sutton to Colliers Wood.
