Infusion

Infusion is an inverted roller coaster at Blackpool Pleasure Beach in North West England. It was built by Vekoma and opened in 2007 after moving from Pleasureland Southport. The ride was originally called Traumatizer and sponsored by Tizer. It is a 689-metre-long Suspended Looping Coaster suspended entirely over water. The track was repainted from red to blue after its relocation. The coaster reaches speeds of 80 kilometres per hour and subjects riders to 3.4 Gs. It operates two trains with eight cars each, seating two riders per car. Infusion has a maximum capacity of 832 riders per hour and features a lift hill 33 metres tall. The ride includes a butterfly loop, sidewinder, tight helix, and double inline twist. Visitors experience a one-minute-forty-five-second ride with sharp drops, loops, and near-misses with another coaster. The train climbs the lift hill before arching into a steep incline. A full circuit includes a banked apex, corkscrew, and 90-degree turn before braking. The ride has appeared in media, including a Specsavers advertisement featuring elderly riders.
