Schloss Eichtersheim

Schloss Eichtersheim is a manor house in Eichtersheim, Baden-Württemberg. It stands in the middle of a moat with a sandstone bridge leading to the main entrance. The house was first built in the sixteenth century as a private home. Its gardens are simple and almost wooded. The town of Angelbachtal bought the manor in the 1980s. The town turned much of the interior and exterior into office space for the town hall. The gardens now host a variety of local events throughout the year. These include a Whitsun market with castle park lighting, a mediaeval fair with jousting, and an annual pottery and artists market. A serenade in the castle park and highland games also take place here. Visitors find the manor’s restored rooms and offices beside the moat and bridge. The gardens provide space for markets, fairs and seasonal events. The castle park itself offers quiet walks among trees. The events draw crowds for music, crafts and local traditions. The manor remains a centre of community life in Angelbachtal.
