Hradská brána
The Hradská Gate was one of the four town gates of Olomouc and formed part of the medieval city fortifications. It was built in the thirteenth century at the spot where the later avenue Třída 1. máje led out of the town. Nothing of it survives today. In 1876 the gate was pulled down as the great fortress of Olomouc was gradually dismantled, and on the ground that was freed a new cathedral quarter, the Dómská čtvrť, took shape.
