Bahnhof Deutsch-Wagram

The station building of around 1852 is the oldest surviving railway station building of Austria's steam railway. Deutsch-Wagram was the terminus of the first section of the Emperor Ferdinand Northern Railway, opened on 23 November 1837; regular service to Floridsdorf began on 6 January 1838. Beside it stands the water station of 1846, the oldest preserved in the country, where steam locomotives took on feed water. The workers' waiting room of 1908 now houses the railway museum.
