Darul Barakaat Mosque

The Darul Barakaat Mosque stands in Bordesley, Birmingham, a large brick building completed in 2004. It occupies the site of a former girls’ primary school built in 1889 and later left empty in the 1970s. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community purchased the land for £200 in 1996. Mirza Masroor Ahmad inaugurated the mosque in 2004. Two halls beside the main hall increase its capacity to 2,000 worshippers. The mosque is worth visiting for its scale and community role.
