Ben Vuirich

Ben Vuirich is a mountain summit in the Grampian Mountains of Perth and Kinross. It stands on the main watershed of Scotland, between Pitlochry and Braemar. The hill reaches 902 metres above sea level and is listed as a Marilyn, a Corbett and a HuMP. Surveyors last remeasured its height in March 2007. It belongs to the category of hills that are specially classified by height and prominence. Several British and Irish hill societies maintain and verify these lists. Their combined data is published on the Database of British and Irish Hills website. The slopes of Ben Vuirich are grassy and gentle, with no technical climbing required. The summit offers wide views across the surrounding glens and towards the Cairngorms. Walkers often combine it with nearby Corrour Bothy for an overnight trip. The area is recognised for its quiet, remote feel away from crowded summits.
