Turmberg
The Turmberg is a 750-metre-high hill in the north-eastern Hausruck range of Upper Austria. It lies between the villages of Eberschwang and Geboltskirchen, with its summit on the territory of Haag am Hausruck. The hill forms the north-eastern spur of the Hausruck–Kobernaußerwald ridge and rises about 200 to 300 metres above the surrounding settlements.
A ruined tower once stood on the summit, its foundations still visible today. The ridge carries the long-distance Hausruck–Kobernaußerwald trail, which links the Sommerrodel lift and Haager Aussichtswarte to routes running as far as Mattighofen. A modest cross path crosses the crest south of the transformer station, connecting the hamlets of Anhang and Holzhäuseln.
The Turmberg marks a major watershed: streams on its western side feed the Antiesen, flowing to the Inn, while those on the east drain into the Trattnach, which reaches the Innbach and ultimately the Danube. The hillside is covered by dense spruce forest, while the lower slopes give way to cultivated land around villages such as Vocking and Wiesing.
