Schloss Einersheim stands in the village of Markt Einersheim in Lower Franconia. It occupies a site in the centre of the village on Rechteren-Von-Limpurg-Straße. The original seat of the Counts of Limpurg-Speckfeld was Burg Speckfeld, now a ruin on the Schlossberg north-east of the village. In the late 17th century the family moved their residence into the village. The first building here was a rear timber-framed structure, still standing today.

The complex was enlarged in the 19th century when a new sandstone building in the neo-Gothic style was added along the main street. Graf Franz-Ludwig turned part of the castle into a military hospital during the Franco-Prussian War of 1870. His successors repeated this use in both world wars. In 1960 the Limpurg-Speckfeld line ended and the estate was sold to Nikolaus Knauf, who restored the building and refurnished its rooms. The castle and its large garden remain in private hands and are not open to the public.

The castle consists of several wings arranged around two courtyards. The oldest part is the rear half-timbered building of the 17th century, while the street front shows neo-Gothic sandstone masonry with pointed windows, oriel windows, pinnacles and a crow-stepped gable. The entrance arch bears a double coat of arms. Inside, one room on the upper floor of the west wing still has its original 17th-century ceiling with stucco panels, coats of arms, putti and egg-and-dart moulding. The castle is surrounded on the north and west by a park that includes a rose garden.
