Raidling stands in the Totes Gebirge range in Styria, rising to 1 912 metres above sea level. Its long ridge runs east to west between the Langpoltengraben valley and the Niederhüttenalm meadows. The name probably comes from the Slavic word for ore, pointing to old mining attempts near Weißenbach. A metal summit cross with a visitors’ book marks the top, giving a clear goal for walkers. The mountain is well known for its wide views over the Alps and the Enns valley below.

Climbers reach the summit by several routes. The Hochmölbing hut provides a marked path up the north flank in about half an hour. Unmarked climbs follow the west ridge, the south flank from the Langpoltner Klamml, and the east ridge from the Liezener hut. Each route offers different scenery and challenges, from steep gullies to broad alpine slopes. The area is popular with both summer hikers and winter ski tourers.

At the top, the cross and book give a simple reward after the climb. The ridge itself is broad and grassy, dotted with patches of dwarf pine. To the north the Hochmölbing and Priel peaks rise higher, while southwards the Enns valley stretches away. On clear days the view reaches as far as the Dachstein glacier and the Gesäuse limestone walls.
