The Milestone Hotel stands in Kensington, London, on Kensington Court. It overlooks Kensington Gardens from its position at number 1. The building began as a private house in 1884, built on part of the grounds of the former Kensington House. John Freeman-Mitford, 1st Baron Redesdale, once lived there. In 1922 the house became a hotel after combining with the neighbouring property at number 2, which had belonged to John Athelstone Riley.

The hotel belongs to the Red Carnation Hotels Group and is a member of The Leading Hotels of the World. It has 44 guest bedrooms, 12 suites, and six long-stay apartments. The two terraced houses that form the hotel are each listed Grade II on the National Heritage List for England.

Inside, the hotel retains features from its days as a private residence. The interiors include high ceilings, ornate fireplaces, and original woodwork. Views stretch across Kensington Gardens, offering a quiet outlook over the park. The atmosphere remains one of understated elegance, blending historic charm with modern comfort.
