Cyprus station stands on the Docklands Light Railway’s Beckton branch, south of Beckton in the London Borough of Newham. The line runs in the central reservation of a dual carriageway built at the same time as the railway. Off-peak trains run every five minutes in each direction, with half continuing to Tower Gateway and half terminating at Beckton. During peak hours the frequency rises to one train every three to four minutes. London Buses routes 366, 376, 474 and 678 stop nearby, linking the station to Beckton, Canning Town and beyond. Visitors find a quiet, functional station set beneath a busy roundabout. The platforms sit low in the cutting, sheltered by the arched brick openings that frame views of passing trains. Above, the elevated roadway carries steady streams of traffic while the railway hums with automated trains arriving and departing every few minutes.
