Delphi-Showpalast

The Delphi Showpalast is a show and gastronomy theatre in Hamburg’s Eimsbüttel district. It occupies a building that once housed a cinema until 1958. From 1960 to 1977 it became the Kaisersaal dance hall. In 1978 it reopened as the Trinity discothèque modelled on New York’s Studio 54. Trinity hosted live concerts by acts such as Depeche Mode, Gloria Gaynor and Level 42. The Rattles served as the house band for the Pico musical’s premiere in 1997. After changes of name and management it became the Delphi Showpalast in 2000. Today the venue combines dining, drinks and entertainment in a single programme. Visitors find a theatre floor seating 300 guests at tables and chairs. A further 140 places sit on upper balconies. Shows, musicals, concerts and readings take place throughout the year. Firms also book the space for private events. The building remains a lively part of Eimsbüttel’s cultural life.
