Petráš palace
The Petráš Palace on the Upper Square, the Horní náměstí, is a burgher house of palatial scale and one of the grandest buildings on the square. What appears today as a Baroque palace still conceals remains of the original medieval structures, while the courtyard wing dates from the Renaissance. In its walls the house therefore tells several centuries of Olomouc history at once. The Petráš Palace has been protected as a cultural monument since 1958.
