Edelmann palace
The Edelmann Palace on the Upper Square of Olomouc is a Renaissance burgher house of palatial character, built for Václav Edelmann of Brosdorf. Over the centuries it saw very different occupants, for at one time the commander of the Olomouc fortress resided here, and later the mayor and the town council had their seat in the building. It also served cultural purposes again and again. The palace has been protected as a cultural monument since 1958.
