Little Wyvis

Little Wyvis is a mountain peak in the Highlands of Scotland, reached along the route from Loch Vaich to the Moray Firth. Its summit lies at grid reference NH429644 and bears a small cairn. The mountain stands within a landscape of open moorland and distant views across the firth. It is classed as a Marilyn, Corbett and HuMP, terms used by hill-walking groups to describe prominence and height. Organisations maintain these lists on the Database of British and Irish Hills, where the latest height survey was recorded in January 2003. Visitors follow paths across the moor to the summit where they find the cairn and wide panoramas. The route offers glimpses of Loch Vaich and the surrounding hills. On clear days the Moray Firth and its coastline appear in the distance.
