Floridotower

The Florido Tower, also called Peak Vienna, is a modern high-rise office building in Vienna’s Floridsdorf district. Completed in 2001, it rises 113 metres across 31 floors and ranks as Austria’s 13th tallest structure. Designed by architect Andreas Müller-Hartburg, the tower features a striking energy-saving double-skin facade with opening windows and chilled beams for cooling. Around 36,000 square metres of space is divided between the main skyscraper, three lower office blocks of four or five storeys, and a three-storey underground car park. Nine elevators serve the complex, which also includes a three-storey parking garage. The building’s most distinctive feature is the Florido Lounge on the 30th floor, a rentable space for conferences and events accommodating between 10 and 240 people. In 2020 the tower was rebranded as Peak Vienna, introducing open-plan layouts, natural materials, and greenery throughout. The corridors now use contemporary finishes, with reflections, soft dark tones, and wood elements creating a linear, unified appearance. The design deliberately balances light and reflection to enhance the workplace environment. Visitors approaching the tower see a clean-lined glass and steel silhouette dominating the skyline of northern Vienna. Inside, the ground floor and lower blocks house shops and cafés that open onto landscaped plazas. The lounge on the 30th floor offers panoramic views across the city and the Danube. The surrounding Floridsdorf district mixes residential blocks with green parks, providing a calm setting for the tower’s busy offices.
