Stob Dubh

Stob Dubh is a mountain peak in the Highlands of Scotland, lying on the route between Glen Etive and Glen Lochy. It stands in Argyll and Bute, with its summit marked by a small cairn. The mountain reaches a height of 916 metres and is classified as a Marilyn, Corbett and HuMP. The peak is recognised in several hill-walking lists, including the Database of British and Irish Hills. It was last re-surveyed on 28 October 2001 to confirm its height. Many walking groups use the mountain as part of longer routes through the surrounding glens. From the summit, walkers can see ridges and valleys stretching across the Highlands. The route from Glen Etive involves a steady climb through heather and grass before reaching the rocky top. Glen Lochy lies to the south-west, offering a contrasting view of forested slopes.
