Wandle Park

Wandle Park sits in the London Borough of Croydon, a green space reached by a tram stop of the same name. The stop stands beside the park on a double-track section of Tramlink, with platforms on each side of the line. To the east the track narrows to single line and climbs steeply over a railway bridge. All Tramlink stops were once request-only, but since around 2008 every stop has become compulsory. Six trams an hour run in each direction from Wandle Park. Three services link Beckenham Junction and Wimbledon, and three more run between Elmers End and Wimbledon. Low-floor trams of the Bombardier CR4000 and Stadler Variobahn models operate these routes. London Buses routes 407 and 410 call at the tram stop. Passengers may change between tram and bus within an hour free of charge under Transport for London’s Hopper Fare.
