The Aiplspitz is a 1 759-metre peak in the Rotwandgruppe east of Spitzingsee in the Bavarian Pre-Alps. Its slopes are made of Plattenkalk limestone and its eastern and northern faces carry deep glacial hollows called kare. These features have earned the mountain recognition as a valued geotop by the Bavarian Environment Agency.

The Aiplspitz can be climbed from four directions. The northern route starts at Aurach near Fischbachau and passes the Benzingalm, Jägerkamp and Tanzeck before joining the west ridge. The eastern route begins at Geitau and follows the Geitauer Alpl to the north ridge. The southern route leaves from the Taubenstein cable-car station and passes the Rauhkopf and Tanzeck. The western route starts at Spitzingsattel and crosses the Jägerkamp or the Schönfeldalm.

Walkers reach the summit ridge after crossing grassy slopes, larch scrub and rocky slabs. The final steps along the west ridge include two short protected sections where cables give support. From the top there are wide views over the Mangfall mountains and the lakes below. The local people in the Leitzachtal usually call the peak die Aiplspitz, a name linked to the nearby Alpl pasture.
