Gulliver's World Resort

Gulliver’s World is a theme park in Warrington, England, built around the tiny world of Lilliput from *Gulliver’s Travels*. Eight themed areas—Lilliput Land, Wonderland, Western World, Gully’s Cartoon Studios, Smuggler’s Wharf, Safari Kingdom, Gully Town and Lost World—offer rides and play spaces for children aged two to thirteen. Two indoor attractions, Splash Zone and Blast Arena, sit beside the main park. A hotel opened on site in 2012 to provide family short breaks. The park opened in 1989 as the second Gulliver’s park in the UK, after the one at Matlock Bath. It has grown with new rides and facilities, while keeping its focus on families with younger children. Notable rides include the Antelope, Desperado Drop and Apache Falls. In 2002 the indie band The Strokes filmed part of their tour movie here after riding several attractions. The RAF Burtonwood Heritage Centre on site tells the story of the former air base that once occupied the land. Visitors find eight themed zones filled with gentle rides and large play areas. The Antelope is a classic family coaster, while Apache Falls is a log flume. Splash Zone offers indoor water slides and sprays, with special sessions for toddlers. Blast Arena lets older children take part in NERF battles inside a target range. The Gulliver’s Hotel provides themed family suites, including a sweet-themed room and a NERF Zone suite. The RAF Heritage Centre displays wartime memorabilia alongside stories of the site’s past.
