River Divie

The River Divie is a small river in Moray, Scotland. It rises near the county boundary close to an unnamed stream and the Allt Dearg. The river flows northwest through Dava Moor before reaching Glenmore. Near its end it passes the Divie Viaduct, a notable structure that stands above the water. The Divie Viaduct is the river’s most recognisable feature. It was built to carry the former Highland Railway across the valley. The viaduct’s arches span the river and the surrounding moorland. Visitors find a quiet waterway with few crossings. There are about two fords and several footbridges near the lower reaches. The landscape around the river is open moorland and gentle hills.
