Sgùrr nan Conbhairean

Sgùrr nan Conbhairean stands in the Northwest Highlands, north of Loch Cluanie and south of Glen Affric. It is a dome-shaped mountain rising to 1,109 metres. The peak belongs to a group of three Munros, the others being A' Chràlaig and Mullach Fraoch-choire. Its Gaelic name means ‘peak of the dog-men’, probably recalling the handlers of hunting dogs. The mountain sits within a wild and remote landscape of deep glens and open moorland. Its rounded summit offers wide views across the surrounding hills. On the slopes below, heather and bog moss colour the ground in summer. The route up follows rough paths through quiet corries and along narrow ridges. From the top, ridges stretch away to other Munros under vast Highland skies.
