Wetherby Road

Wetherby Road stadium stands on the north side of the A661 in Harrogate. It is the home ground of Harrogate Town A.F.C. and hosts football matches. The pitch runs northwest to southeast beside Harrogate District Hospital. A covered stand with standing space was added at the hospital end in 2014. Two seated stands sit on the east side, with an executive suite between them. The south end contains the clubhouse, currently being redeveloped. The west side holds turnstiles, a smaller seated stand for sponsors and directors, and areas for visiting supporters. The stadium has a long history with Harrogate Town. The club formed in 1914 and moved to this ground later. The Main Stand was built in 1990. In June 2024 the ground was renamed the Marcy Fitness Stadium after a sponsorship deal. The record attendance reached 4,280 for the 1949–1950 Whitworth Cup Final against Harrogate Railway. The record league crowd was 3,000 for the 2018 National League North playoff final win over Brackley Town. After promotion in 2020, the team played early home games at Keepmoat Stadium in Doncaster before returning to Wetherby Road. Visitors find a straightforward layout. The pitch sits close to the road and hospital boundary. Spectators can stand along the northern edge near the covered stand. The east side offers two seated stands and an executive suite. The west side has turnstiles and a smaller seated stand for sponsors and directors. Visiting fans use standing and seated areas on this side. The south end contains the clubhouse, now undergoing redevelopment.
