Untertilliach, Kath. Pfarrkirche hll. Florian, Ingenuin, und Albuin

The Catholic parish church of Saints Florian, Ingenuin and Albuin stands beside the road in Untertilliach, a village in the Lienz district of East Tirol. Built in the late 18th century, it replaced an earlier place of worship and became a parish church in 1891. The building has been protected as a historic monument since the 20th century. The church is a fine example of Austrian Baroque, with a tower capped by a copper onion dome and a steep slate roof. Inside, the nave is divided from the five-sided choir by a low beam, and the walls carry colourful ceiling frescoes painted after 1900. The high altar, dating from the mid-19th century, shows the patron saints flanked by statues of Peter and Paul, while the side chapel houses an 18th-century Holy Sepulchre. Visitors enter through a sheltered porch that leads to the nave and the adjoining mortuary chapel. The interior is lit by convex windows and the gallery above the entrance, its curved balustrade resting on slender columns. Outside, the onion dome rises above the graveyard wall, marking the church as a landmark in the valley.
