Untertilliach, Kath. Filialkirche hll. Ingenuin und Albuin
The Roman Catholic branch church of Saints Ingenuin and Albuin stands high above the valley floor on the Kirchberg at Untertilliach in the Lienz district of Tyrol. Built on a small predecessor in the 15th century, it was consecrated in 1479 and later enlarged around 1785. The church is surrounded by an old cemetery enclosed by a stone wall and a small chapel. The late-Gothic choir has a five-sided apse and a flat ceiling, while the nave shows simple plaster pilasters and a curved gallery on wooden posts. Andreas Lexer painted the ceilings in 1846, depicting scenes from the life of Saints Ingenuin and Albuin and other biblical figures. The freestanding high altar from about 1785 features statues of Saints Peter and Paul, Francis and Anthony of Padua, and a painting of the two titular saints before the Virgin and Child. The church tower, added in the 16th century and renovated in 1846, rises from the south-east corner of the choir. Inside, the organ from the 18th century was restored in the 2000s, and one of the bells dates back to 1570. The exterior walls show plain plasterwork with pilasters and tall, narrow windows framed in roughcast.
