Tazzelwurm

The Tazzelwurm was a theatre in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia. It stood on Zülpicher Street and was one of the few large halls left after the war. The building became the first music hall theatre in Cologne after 1945. It opened with a carnival-style revue in November 1945. The space hosted performances during the 1946-47 carnival season. The theatre featured local comedy and musical stars of the time. Grete Fluss, Jupp Schlösser, and Gerhard Jussenhoven appeared on its stage. These performers helped shape Cologne’s post-war entertainment scene. The Tazzelwurm played a key role in reviving cultural life in the city.
