Mynydd Llysiau

Mynydd Llysiau is a subsidiary summit in the Black Mountains of south-eastern Wales. It stands between Waun Fach and Pen Allt-mawr on a long grassy ridge. The eastern face drops steeply down the hillside. A pile of stones marks the highest point of the summit. Two boundary stones shaped like gravestones stand south of the ridge before Pen Twyn Glas. The summit is distinguished by its simple stone marker and open grassland. The ridge runs north to south across the moorland. Views stretch over the surrounding hills and valleys. The boundary stones add a subtle human touch to the wild landscape. Pen Twyn Glas rises to the south beyond the two markers. Visitors find a quiet upland walk with few distractions. The ridge offers long views in every direction. The steep eastern slope drops sharply toward the valley floor. The boundary stones stand as subtle reminders of past land divisions. The grassy surface remains mostly untouched by modern development.
