Donauparkstadion

The Donauparkstadion stands in Lustenau, a quarter of Linz in Upper Austria. It is a football ground with space for five thousand spectators. Blau-Weiß Linz play their home matches here. The stadium began life in 1935 as the Tabak-Sportplatz for SV Austria Tabak Linz. After the club merged in 1997 it became Donauparkstadion. Until 2011 it hosted first-team games before becoming a training base and home to the amateur side. The stadium has grown through the decades. In 2023 it was enlarged again to meet new needs. A sponsorship deal in 2023 renamed it Hofmann Personal Stadion. Blau-Weiß Linz inaugurated the ground with a friendly against PSV, losing one-nil. Ronivaldo scored the first goal in that match. The pitch sits beside the Hafenstraße exit from the Mühlkreis Autobahn. Visitors find a compact football ground on Straßerau. The main stand holds four hundred seats, with standing areas for the rest. The pitch runs north–south, framed by low floodlight towers. Nearby bus stops on line 27 make the stadium easy to reach from central Linz. On match days the entrance buzzes with fans heading for the turnstiles.
