Sailerkuppe

The Sailerkuppe is a mountain in the Gaaler Tauern range of Upper Styria, standing at 1,638 metres above sea level. It lies within the municipality of Pölstal, on the border between the Koinbach and Riedlbach wild-stream catchment areas. The mountain forms part of a wider alpine landscape shaped by seasonal water flows. Its height and position make it a useful reference point for walkers exploring the region’s high valleys. The boundary between two wild-stream catchments runs along its ridge, showing how water divides across the mountains. Views from the summit stretch far across the surrounding peaks and forested slopes. A clear path leads to the top, where visitors find a simple summit cross and open ground for resting. The air is cool even in summer, and the sound of wind mixes with distant streams. On clear days the horizon reveals other ranges in Styria and Salzburg. The climb rewards effort with quiet, wide views over the alpine countryside.
