Falkirk Stadium

Falkirk Stadium stands on the edge of Falkirk town centre in central Scotland. It is the home ground of Falkirk Football Club and has three permanent stands. The main west stand was the first to open in 2004 after the club left Brockville Park, which had been their home since 1885. The stadium’s construction was a partnership between Falkirk Football Club and Falkirk Council. The council provided £3.1 million and the sale of Brockville Park raised £9 million, part of which funded the new ground. The north stand opened in 2005 with space for 2,000 fans, and the south stand followed in 2009, funded partly by a £2 million donation from Falkirk supporter Sandy Alexander. The south stand now bears the name of former player Kevin McAllister. Visitors find a modern all-seater stadium with a west stand that holds around 4,200 people and includes facilities such as a restaurant and nursery. The Brockville Bar sits in the south stand, and a temporary east stand has been used for extra capacity. The stadium also hosts summer concerts with crowds of up to 21,000 and has welcomed international rugby and youth football matches.
