Haneburger

The Haneburger is a mountain in the Tuxer Alps of Tyrol, Austria. It stands between the Voldertal and Wattental valleys, with its main peak reaching 2,596 metres. The summit cross is on the slightly lower northern peak, which is more visible from the Inn valley. The mountain can be climbed easily from either valley, and in winter it is a popular ski ascent from the Voldertal side. Nearby peaks include the Malgrübler to the south and the Roßkopf to the north. The Haneburger is worth climbing for its open views across the Inn valley and the surrounding ranges. The northern peak offers the best panorama, while the southern peak provides a quieter experience. Both routes are straightforward and do not require technical skill. Ski mountaineers often choose the Voldertal approach in winter, when the mountain is covered in snow. The contrast between summer hiking and winter ski touring adds to its appeal. On the summit ridge, visitors find the summit cross and a small plateau where they can rest. The northern peak is the most frequented, while the southern peak remains less crowded. The views extend to the Karwendel range and the Central Alps. The descent can be made back to the starting valley, completing a satisfying day in the mountains.
