St. Emmeram

St. Emmeram is a Roman Catholic parish church in Moosinning, a village in Upper Bavaria. It stands surrounded by farmland in the Erding district, built around 1700 in the Baroque style. The church honours Saint Emmeram, a 7th-century bishop who became the patron of the village. The building is a long rectangular structure with a distinctive onion dome on its tower. In 1928 an extension was added to the rear. The interior includes an early work by Anton Kogler, a local Baroque sculptor, which is protected as a listed monument. Inside, visitors find a single nave with a high, coffered ceiling. The altar area is framed by fluted pilasters and a richly carved tabernacle. The four bronze bells in the tower were cast at different times by the Erdinger foundry. From the churchyard, views stretch across the open fields of the Isar valley.
