Kriegerdenkmal Gladau

The Gladau war memorial stands in a quiet village clearing east of the church, between the Friedensstraße and Zum Bauerneck roads. It is a simple stone structure protected by the local heritage register under number 094 86881. The memorial occupies a small open space that separates two ordinary streets from each other. The monument honours the men of Gladau who fell in the First World War and the Second World War. A single inscription tablet is set into the front of the stepped stele. The words recall the sacrifice made by those who died in the 1914–1918 conflict and those lost in the 1939–1945 conflict. Visitors find a modest stone stele standing on a paved base. The inscription on the tablet is brief and clear. The surrounding area is calm, with the churchyard wall visible nearby and the low hum of village life continuing around it.
