Lloyd Park

Lloyd Park is a green space in the London Borough of Croydon, south London. It sits beside the Lloyd Park tram stop, a light rail halt on the Tramlink network. The park lies 200 metres east of the old Coombe Road railway station site. The tram stop itself is on the former Woodside and South Croydon Railway line. The park and stop share the name of William Lloyd, a local benefactor of the 19th century. The tram stop is served by frequent services every seven or eight minutes. Most trams run between New Addington and West Croydon, passing East Croydon and Centrale. A few early morning or late evening trams continue to Therapia Lane or Wimbledon. Weekend evening services drop to one tram every fifteen minutes. The stop provides quick access to the park and its surroundings. Visitors find a well-kept park with wide lawns and mature trees. Paths lead through the grounds to play areas and sports pitches. The park also hosts events and markets throughout the year. The tram stop sits at the park’s edge, making it easy to reach by public transport. The area around the stop includes shops and cafés for visitors to use.
