Stadtbad Lankwitz

The Stadtbad Lankwitz is a public swimming pool in the Lankwitz district of south-west Berlin. It sits on Leonorenstraße, a quiet side street near the S-Bahnhof Lankwitz. The building combines a large indoor pool with outdoor leisure features, making it a year-round destination. Architect Oskar Hillmann designed the pool in the late 1960s, and it opened in April 1968. After a two-year renovation it reopened in 1993 as a modern leisure pool. Inside there is a 25-metre main pool, a separate learner pool for children, a small pool for babies and two whirlpools. Swimmers can also use a diving area with one-metre and three-metre boards and a 60-metre flume. Beyond the pools, visitors find a sauna section with four saunas, a plunge pool and a roof terrace. The site is served by a bus stop of the same name and is within easy walking distance of the S-Bahn station. The whole complex offers a calm place to swim, relax or exercise whatever the season.
