Fellhorn

The Fellhorn is a mountain in the Allgäu Alps near Oberstdorf on the border with Austria. It reaches 2,038 metres above sea level and is known for its fields of alpenroses. The mountain’s top station sits at 1,967 metres, reached by a gondola lift built in 1972. The lift connects to the Kanzelwandbahn, forming a cross-border ski region. This region offers 24 kilometres of slopes and 14 lifts in total. The Fellhorn is worth the journey for its alpine scenery and year-round access. The gondola lift provides easy access to high meadows and rocky ridges. In summer, the alpenroses create a vivid display of colour across the slopes. In winter, the ski region attracts visitors with its varied terrain and reliable snow cover. The lift connection to the Kanzelwandbahn expands the range of routes available.
