The Chapter Provostry on Křížkovského Street was once the residence of the provost of the Olomouc cathedral chapter, one of the most distinguished houses in the cathedral quarter. Its dignified front still recalls the spiritual authority that was exercised here. Since 1946 the building has served a very different purpose, for it houses the rectorate of Palacký University together with its Faculty of Arts. The former residence of the provosts is protected as a cultural monument.
