Moselbad Cochem

The Moselbad Cochem is an indoor swimming pool in the town of Cochem beside the Mosel river. It sits in the Cond district on the right bank of the river along Klottener Straße. The complex contains a large main pool, a leisure pool and a dedicated children’s area. Built in 1975, the building was destroyed by fire in 1983 and later rebuilt. Inside the pool the upper level houses a wave pool that produces artificial waves once every hour. Below this is the leisure pool with a twisting 55-metre slide that winds through the space. The lowest section contains the children’s area, which has a catch pool for a large and a small slide plus a shallow paddling pool no deeper than 20 centimetres. Visitors find a calm setting beside the Mosel with changing facilities and seating around each pool. The wave pool offers a gentle swell for swimmers while the long slide delivers a longer ride for thrill-seekers. Families use the separate children’s section where toddlers can splash safely in the shallow water.
