Co-op Live

Co-op Live is an indoor arena in Manchester, England. It stands on the Etihad Campus beside the City of Manchester Stadium. The venue opened in May 2024 and is the largest indoor arena in the United Kingdom. It can hold up to 23,500 people inside. The arena has 32 bars, restaurants and lounges spread across its large floor space. Oak View Group developed the scheme with City Football Group. The arena is worth the journey because it brings major events to Manchester. In its first year it hosted over 100 shows including performances by Liam Gallagher, Janet Jackson and Pearl Jam. It also staged the MTV Europe Music Awards in November 2024. The arena has a retractable seating system that can switch between seated and standing crowds. Its design keeps most seats within 20 metres of the stage for better sightlines. Inside, the audience bowl is roughly square with seating on four levels. Level 0 and Level 1 have retractable seats, Level 2 offers premium seating and Level 3 is the upper tier. Level 4 holds hospitality lounges overlooking the stage. The flat floor at Level 0 can be used for standing audiences. Outside the main bowl, Vertu Place provides additional space for visitors.
