Beinn Trilleachan

Beinn Trilleachan is a mountain peak in the Scottish Highlands. It lies on the route between Loch Linnhe and Loch Etive. A small cairn marks the summit. The mountain is classified as a Marilyn, a Corbett and a HuMP. These classifications come from hill-measuring groups that maintain lists on the “Database of British and Irish hills.” The peak is one of many in Scotland measured and verified by hill societies. Its height was last re-surveyed on 28 October 2001. The name is kept in its original form, reflecting local Gaelic heritage. The surrounding area is typical of Highland landscapes, with open moorland and distant views. Walkers reach the top by following paths that climb from the glen below. The route offers changing scenery as it rises through heather and rock. From the summit the eye travels over Loch Etive to the sea. The quiet of the hills and the wide sky give the place a calm, remote feel.
