Torrinch

Torrinch is a small, wooded island in Loch Lomond, part of West Dunbartonshire. The name Torremach also appears in records. It lies just south-west of Inchcailloch and north-east of Creinch. The island forms part of the Highland Boundary Fault with Inchmurrin, Creinch, and Inchcailloch. In the 19th century it was covered with oaks. The island is one of the smaller islands in Loch Lomond. Its location near larger islands makes it a quiet spot in the loch. The Highland Boundary Fault runs through the area, adding geological interest.
