The Roman Catholic parish church of Langenwang stands in the market town of Langenwang in the Bruck-Mürzzuschlag district of Styria. It is dedicated to Saint Andrew and belongs to the Upper Styria East region within the Diocese of Graz-Seckau. The building has been under official protection since the 19th century. The first church on this site was built before 1232, and the parish was mentioned in records in 1351. The present Gothic hall church took shape in two phases, with major interior restoration carried out in 1971–72. The west front shows stepped buttresses, a round central window and two side lancets with tracery, while the west portal is pointed and reinforced with twisted shafts. Above the portal is a fresco of a dead warrior painted by Fritz Silberbauer in 1924, and the porch serves as a war memorial. The tower, set into the north aisle, rises five storeys and is capped by a sloping roof from around 1800. Inside, the broad three-aisled nave is four bays long and rises higher than the choir. The central aisle has a net-ribbed vault with parallel ribs, while the side aisles feature star ribs with central lozenges. The slightly raised choir dates from the 14th century, its ribs removed in 1666 and the windows remodelled in the Baroque style. The high altar of 1747 was made by Philipp Primsch, and the freestanding tabernacle is by Johann Tendler from 1832. A late Gothic winged altar from 1509, once in the chapel of nearby Hohenwang castle, stands against the south wall. The organ, built by Walter Vonbank in 1999, has 22 stops, and a bell cast in 1715 hangs in the tower.
