Cadwell Park

Cadwell Park is a motor racing circuit in Lincolnshire, five miles south of Louth. It sits on former parkland across a steep-sided valley with sharp dips and crests. The circuit features challenging corners and steep gradient changes, including a section called The Mountain where bikes can become airborne. Its mix of tight bends and fast sections has earned it the nickname the Mini-Nürburgring. The track is owned and operated by MotorSport Vision, a company linked to former racing driver Jonathan Palmer. It began as a gravel drive for motorbike races between two brothers in 1934. The circuit has grown from its original 0.75 miles to the current 2.175-mile layout. Major events include the British Superbike Championship round held each August, drawing large crowds. Historic events such as the Vintage Sports Car Club’s festival and the Wolds Trophy also take place here. The track has hosted television programmes like Fifth Gear and films including Rush. Celebrity visitors include musician Nick Mason and racing driver Damon Hill, who tested cars for Top Gear. Visitors find a mix of racing action and scenic surroundings in the Lincolnshire Wolds. The circuit offers track days for cars and motorcycles, as well as private hire. Historic car and motorcycle clubs regularly visit for events. The season often ends with stage rallying and fireworks displays. The challenging layout continues to attract club motorsport associations despite its narrow width.
