Cusino liegt im Val Cavargna in der Lombardei, in der Provinz Como. Die Gemeinde befindet sich an der SP 10 oberhalb von Carlazzo und liegt auf rund 800 m s.l.m. Am Fuße des Monte Pidaggia (1528 m s.l.m.) und überragt das "Sasso di Cusino". Sie ist etwa 50 km nördlich von Como entfernt und umfasst eine Fläche von 9,7 km². Die Gemeinde besteht aus fünf Ortsteilen, darunter Cusino, Palla, Campanile, Bertogno und das fast unbewohnte Pomè. Cusino wurde im 1812 mit Carlazzo fusioniert. Die Gemeinde hat eine kleine Bevölkerung, die sich aus den fünf Ortsteilen zusammensetzt. Die Nachbargemeinden sind Carlazzo, Garzeno, Grandola ed Uniti und San Bartolomeo Val Cavargna. Die Gemeinde hat eine ländliche Struktur und ist Teil der Region Lombardei, die für ihre Landschaft und Kultur bekannt ist. Cusino ist vor allem für seine Kirchen bekannt, darunter die Pfarrkirche Natività di San Giovanni Battista aus dem 16. Jahrhundert, die Kirche Santa Maria Ausiliatrice aus dem Jahr 1883 und die Kirche Sant’Ambrogio aus dem Jahr 1909. Die Gemeinde hat eine ruhige Atmosphäre und ist Teil der Landschaft des Val Cavargna, die von Bergen und Flüssen geprägt ist.
