Schloss Weißenbrunn stands at the edge of the village of Weißenbrunn in the Haßberge district of Lower Franconia. A small Baroque country house, it remains in private hands and sits near the village pond. The building replaced an earlier medieval stronghold destroyed in the Peasants’ War of 1525. Traces of that older site have vanished, though local tradition places it on the hill opposite where the stone quarry once worked. The house’s significance lies in its layered history and the families who shaped it. After the Fuchs family lost control in 1696, Georg Philipp von Boineburg acquired the estate and secured permission to move the jurisdictional privileges to a new site. A dated roof tile from 1723 confirms the present structure belongs to the early 18th century. Financial troubles soon followed, and the property passed through several owners until the von Oberkamp family held it for four generations from 1749. Visitors find a modest yet elegant manor framed by the village pond and surrounding farmland. The main building shows typical Baroque proportions, with a slate roof and dormer windows. Inside, the former chapel retains its sacred function, granted in 1752 for private masses. The surrounding landscape, once part of a chain of hilltop defences, now offers quiet walks toward the gently rolling hills of Unterfranken.
