Cliftonhill

Cliftonhill is a football stadium in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire, Scotland. It has been the home ground of Albion Rovers since 1919. The stadium sits on high ground above Main Street with the Main Stand built in the same season as the club’s only Scottish Cup Final appearance. A roof extension was added to the paddock in 1994. Floodlighting was installed in 1968, originally coming from Cardiff Arms Park. The stadium has a record attendance of 27,381 set in 1936 when Rangers visited. In the 1990s plans to share a stadium with Airdrieonians were abandoned after strong opposition. The ground has also hosted speedway, greyhound racing and stock car racing. The pitch measures 110 by 72 yards. Visitors find the Main Stand and paddock open on match days along with the Airdrie End terracing installed in 2015. The club shop opens one hour before home matches. The stadium has featured in television adverts and has a history of unusual events. The speedway track once had extremely banked bends on its terracing.

Opening hours and admission prices change with the season and are therefore not part of this text. Current details from the operator
