The Burg Lindelskopf is a ruined cliff-top fortress in the Fischbach bei Dahn area of the Südwestpfalz district. It stands on a rocky outcrop 343 metres above sea level in the Dahner Felsenland, east of Ludwigswinkel. The site preserves only scant traces of the early medieval structure. Its original name has been lost to time, leaving the modern label as the only identifier. A small wooden cross marks the highest point of the ruins today.

Historians recognise the site as part of the region’s early medieval defensive network. Research by Jürgen Keddigkeit, Ulrich Burkhart and Rolf Übel in the Pfälzisches Burgenlexikon confirms the presence of masonry remnants and earthworks. The privately maintained database Alle Burgen provides photographs and detailed surveys of what remains. Some scholars still debate whether the scattered stones ever formed a proper castle or merely a lookout post.

Visitors reach the site along a short footpath that climbs the rocky slope from the surrounding woodland. The summit offers wide views across the forested hills of the Wasgau. Weathered blocks of sandstone lie scattered among patches of heather and juniper. A simple wooden cross stands at the highest point, marking the heart of the former stronghold. The quiet atmosphere and sparse remains invite reflection on the site’s long-vanished past.
