Kath. Pfarrkirche hl. Florian
The parish church of Saint Florian stands on a slope at the western entrance to Gallbrunn, a village in the Trautmannsdorf an der Leitha municipality. It belongs to the Bruck an der Leitha deanery within the Vienna archdiocese’s Unter dem Wienerwald vicariate. The church is protected as a listed monument. Built between 1706 and 1708, the church was enlarged westward in 1773 to add the gallery bay and tower. Originally a branch of Margarethen am Moos parish, it became an independent parish in 1783 when handed to the Barnabites. Around 1925 the Salvatorians took charge of the building. Inside, a three-bay nave rises to a barrel vault on pilaster strips with profiled imposts. The west gallery rests on cast-iron columns and has a spiral iron stair from the late 19th century. The one-bay choir is covered by a groin and barrel vault. The classical high altar carries a painting of Saint Florian, while side altars hold statues of Saint Joseph and the Virgin and Child. The late-18th-century pulpit shows an unfinished panel of Christ and the Samaritan woman. A seven-stop organ by Franz Strommer and a 1846 bell by Bartholomäus Kaffel complete the furnishings.
